Yes you are right they basically get multiple coverages get also get mentioned in ms/sony conference and in their respective conferences as well. Since they have some type of exclusivity to console they will get coverage from console manufacture so its like multiple times marketing. So its a win win situation for publisher. They are losing sale from one platform but at that cost they get more marketing and lot of money. So that is the reason why most big triple-A games have these exclusive deals.
Remember that you predicted sunset will be the best rated xbox exclusive it is best for many so prediction is correct for millions of people and if we ignore halo mcc it is best rated as well since titanfall is ms exclusive not xbox exclusive.
