I just checked the number sold on this site:
The Last of Us Remastered: 2.71 million
KillZone : 2.19
Infamous 2.16
DriveClub: 1.55 (with bundle in Europe)
Knack : 1.34 (Heavily bunbled in Japan)
Little Big Planet 3: 1.00

I am sure Sony is more or less happy with those numbers.

They probably are, but that's not really the point. It's about the quality, not the sales.

If they develop & publish games with lower quality and they still sell well then that gives them the wrong message.

But who is saying they are lower quality?

Reviewers? They get the games free and have to play them whether they like them or not, so not really the best opinions.
People that would never buy them anyway? Well, who really cares what they think.
The people buying them? Nope, they seem to think they are great, they wouldn't keep buying them otherwise would they.

So the only people claiming they aren't good are the people that don't really matter anyway.

Based on what? Call of Duty, AC and Pokemon also sell really well each year, but that doesn't mean that they are good games.  Casuals might like them, but coregamers don't like them as much. Most casuals aren't able to compare them to other games anyway, since those are the only games they play.

I for one am disappointed with the exclusives so far. The only exclusive I liked is Infamous. It will surely get better the next few months, but for now I am rather disappointed by the first party games.
