Tbh I'm not a fan of the most recent Tales of Xillia 2.  If you wanna give the series a try start with Tales of Vesperia or Tales of Xillia 1.  They are cheap and the best from last gen.

I'd recommend Symphonia Chronicles over both of those. Extremely cheap and the best of the Tales Of series IMO
