They were spin-offs, and didn't have a 3 in it. Besides, Fallout Tactics was still a great game for it's type, tactical turn-based strategy (à la Jagged Alliance), and was a success commercially and critically.
But Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel actually got alot of bash from Fallout fans, and this game was the last nail in Interplay's coffin.
