First of there is absolutely no such thing as despair in corporate business EVER. If something tanks badly you axe it end of story... It's not like anyone at headquarter would lose sleep over it... It's a business... If it's strategic to keep or there is an end game that's worth, you implement different strategy to attain it... Otherwise once again it gets the axe period... It's not like they are pondering on doing an abortion... It's a god damn business...
That said we are talking about one of the biggest company in the world in market capitalization and one of the wealthiest too... Do you realm think they don't know what they are doing and what they can afford and what they can achieve in the long run.... I'd take 20 MS bad strategies over most other smaller fry corporation good ideas most days of the week... Cause at the end chances are they'll overcome those bad choices one way or the other...
