Nope, they made no mistake.
Are you going to walk up to an artist and say they should not be painting, they should be sculpting instead.
Its their artistic vision and freedom, and if you dont like it, there are plenty of games to choose from.
if you prefer non cinematic game, its your decision to not buy the game as it is theirs to walk that path. not every piece in gaming is liked by everyone, So there are may games devs make and many artistic choices devs make to have a game fit everyone. So I have no doubt you will find a game that caters to your likings eventually. And hopefully its your opinion and just not the mimicry of an opinion of some reviewer.
