With all the rampant and sad "Japanese gaming is dead" narrative, non-Nintendo Japanese games get increasingly under-represented. The situation is very serious here in France, where the press has been doing a total blackout on smaller Playstation games lately. A couple of years ago, there used to be import reviews and hype for any tiny piece of news from Japan. But in today's era of Western AAA, all this seems gone. I don't know English sites full well, but when I drop by, a certain number of news/reviews on localised games are constantly missing.
So what do we do? Isolated threads are short-lived and not enough to make those games stand out. So I figured we should have something with some staying power. This is a home consoles-centric thread, Vita-related news should be posted in the awesome PSVita thread.
While I say "import", it's not necessarily Japan-only games. It can (and should) also be dedicated to games that will be/have been localised so that awareness can rise and popularity arise. I will regulary update this with news from English/Japanese sites (I will use gematsu a lot obviously), my own articles and stuff here and there, but of course it will make more sense if more people are part of it.
So, let's build the list! I will try to keep a compact list of the major titles that are coming or not in the west. Just tell me if you want to see some particular games added.
