I agree.  There are so many people out there who want to tear stuff down; giving them attention only empowers them.

The internet, generally speaking, hops on these trends where it considers one thing or another to be inherently bad, rather than just a matter of taste.  Linear games, for instance, or "not doing anything new in the genre".  Most of the yelling is ultimately irrelevant.
