You fail to take into consideration some factors.
-The PS3 has way more major exclusives than the 360 this year = More system seller titles.
-GTA IV will probably have a better effect on PS3 hardware than 360.
-A price cut will have a greater effect on PS3 hardware sales than 360.
-Christmas will have a greater effect on PS3 hardware than the 360.
-Continued success and growth of blu-ray will help PS3 hardware sales/cost reduction.
I expect the PS3 to overtake the 360 round summer '09.
