This arguement is getting old, but I just wanted to pop in and say that I totally agree with you. Smash is not a fighting game: It's a party brawler. It's not a "subgenre" of the fighting game genre. It's a completely separate genre that people should frankly be proud Smash defines and dominates to this day.
