Agreed. The journey is much more important than the destination. Even a bad or unremarkable ending can't make me forget about how much I enjoyed the rest of the game, as a whole.

agree.  However, worth keeping in mind is critics aren't consumers, they are critics.  A critic can't *not* talk about flaws in a game.  Which is where I think the discussion gets muddied sometimes.  You can enjoy a game and the reviewer can enjoy the game and yet, when it comes to criticism, the score can be lowered by noticeable flaws.  And just like with movies, that's ok.  The problem with games like this one that have become the center of so much melodrama is now you're going to have extreme polar reactions to any score given.
