@Ralph. It was squares. 25 of 5, 400 of 20, 144 of 12, 1600 of 40. Once you realize there are squares in the quiz it becomes a lot easier I found.

I answered twig because the branch would be the equivalent of the arm, but who knows :P

Is there a French word for twig?

For the other one, it's was the way the question was formulated that confused me. If they gave me just the list of numbers (25, 400, 144) I would have guessed it but I was trying to find links between the numbers he liked and didn't like so I got side-tracked.
