If anything people think it'll be close to flat YoY, or slightly down(with of course some hope of being slightly up YoY). As of now, its too early to tell yet. Its still funny because the 3ds hasnt gotten a price cut in almost 4 years now. (yes i know 2ds, but its not a 3ds/xl) Overall, nobody should think 3DS will go back up to/close to its peak, its mre of helping sales toward the end. |
Trying to remember my 2015 predictions in the end of 2015 LTD predictions thread. Pretty sure I went for a ~10% decline in 3DS for the year, so I am saying it'll be fairly flat. If my memory serves me correctly that is. If I predicted a 30+% decline in that thread it was most likely because I was not factoring in N3DS global launch.
I was under the impression that quite a few people thought N3DS would cause a significant increase in global 3DS sales, returning it to it's "glory days" of 14 million in a year. I appear to be wrong in that impression, if most people are predicting it will hold sales steady then we seem to be on the same page.
