No. However I do think that they can inspire impressionable crazy fucks to do the things that they do.
Though it's not just games, music and movies are the same. There's tons of stories on how certain music inspired teens and adults to commit suicide and massacre people. There was even the controversy surrounding Taxi Driver. Video games are the latest scapegoat.
