In Croatia, children are forbidden to bring any nut based food when celebrating birthdays. As well as no home-made cakes or cookies. Only factory packaged goods. And of course that every teacher/caretaker has a list of allergies, so that they can react accordingly in some other extreme cases (allergies to fish or shellfish, milk, fabrics etc...)
It is a small sacrifice to the completely healthy ones, so nobody sane would ever complain about it. |
Indeed, my desire to have some kind of nut, has never been high enough to think it's worth someones life over. If I really want it that bad, I can have it when I get home. Or, at least outside of a high-risk area such as schools, or a pediatric facility.
