Had no clue about even thought he's preformed 1000's of these before.  They don't know everything, they try don't get me wrong but every complacations of every med and every vacine and surgry, ect..that would be insane.  You here the list of 1 med they list on TV. It's a mile long.  There's a reason you don't see vacine ones.  

Don't be an imbecile, children with allergies have medication for just such emergencies (just like adults with allergies).  And lots of other children are restricted with what they can bring to school, for exactly those allergies.  

Doctors actually ask you about allergies prior to giving you anything, having been to the doctors, I know what they ask you before prescribing anything. Having worked in the medical field, and having 2 family members in the field, I know the kinds of questions they're required to ask.  And if you didn't sue their asses off, that's on you, it's called Medical Malpractice, and is highly actionable. So, you either had a terrible doctor, or, you're lying.

Beyond that, 'someone might have a reaction', isn't an excuse for causing outbreaks of diseases and viruses we've nearly wiped out in the US (especially ones that kill).  We know what happens when those viruses get out.  Now, people with allergies aren't required to get vaccines, it's actually written on the CDC's page. It's only 'recommended' that healthcare workers get the Flu Vaccine, it isn't a law.  Your family member didn't have to get vaccinated, as she falls under the list of people who 'Shouldn't get vaccinated' (See below).  Now, she was within her right to refuse, and she could not have been fired because it's simply not within her control.  She should've addressed that to her employer, followed by the threat of litigation, should the employer have fired her.  In fact, if she did notify the Doctor, and her employer that she was allergic and they did it anyway, that's medical malpractice, and both the employer and doctor should be sued.

It sucks she had to go through that, unnecessarily, but she's covered by law.  Had she known her rights a tad more, she could've avoided this and legal action should've been taken afterwards.

People who can't get the flu shot:

• Children younger than 6 months are too young to get a flu shot
• People with severe, life-threatening allergies to flu vaccine or any ingredient in the vaccine. This might include gelatin, antibiotics, or other ingredients. See Special Considerations Regarding Egg Allergy for more information about egg allergies and flu vaccine.

Note: There are certain flu shots that have different age indications. For example people younger than 65 years of age should not get the high-dose flu shot and people who are younger than 18 years old or older than 64 years old should not get theintradermal flu shot.

w8 what? since when are children restricted if some kid is allergic?
