Because they based Kirby's strength off of one gag scene from the anime, make unfounded assumptions about Kirby's abilities, allowed him to do things he couldn't do in the games or anime, mix info from the games and anime which contradict eachother, and somehow had Buu go directly from Fat Buu to Kid Buu, which is not how it works.

Not really. Kirny can crack planets in half. Buu never did that. And what unfounded assumptions are you saying and what shouldn't he have been able to do?

Besides, the animation doesn't actually affect the outcome.
