The good thing is I don't think companies will go through this pain again as I really believe that the next gen consoles will just be an evolution of the current consoles with better graphics and processor and companies won't need to redesign their games to work on the new platform. As for HD remasters, I know some people are sick of them, but its been a great way for companies to move over to the new consoles and make less problems for themselves. This will mean when they release the next gen games they will be lots better than had they just rebuilt the engine from scratch (Unity is a case in point where it shows making a new engine is hard). |
Wasn't this the whole point of making the architecture x86 and using off the shelf parts?
I don't buy this. They are making remasters to turn a quick buck during the game release lull. Nothing really wrong with it, just calling a spade a spade.
