I don't think anyone ever pretended it was entirely accurate. It's good for trends and trends usually determine which platform is preferred at the time. Which is the reason why it has always been correct this gen.
So why not use it to determine the winner of each NPD?
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
