Are you talking about just games, or any and all apps? The thing I see being a bigger deal would be apps beyond gaming. IMO, MS already has all of the third party and indie -games- devs covered, if they want on the system they can be there. The thing they are missing is the quirky little stuff people use all the time, calculators, note pads, photo editors, caladers, alarms, etc. Plus the important stuff like banking apps, home security apps, word, excel, and things of that nature. That is the kind of stuff I hoped for when I heard the UA on W10 announcement.

I just don't see the motivation for people using those apps on a home console. I mean, they have them all at a touch of a fingertip on their phone, why use them in a much more cumbersome way using a controller or even Kinect. To me it seems so much more like a hassle and an inconvenience than an advantage.
