Exactly , when it comes to Gaming Icon Mario beats Pikachu , when you go furthur and include general media then it becomes less certain , even then it can be a bit like putting one direction ahead of the Beatles or Elvis as a musical icon based on todays buzz .
Just because someone like Pikachu seems more in the public eye with TV movies cards etc at the moment ,it doesn't make all Mario's myriad fans built up over the years redundant they're still there .
