I find it strange how all the doom mongers seem to conveniently ignore certain facts. Then again its not surprising being that that's how doom mongering works.

By January 2007 the PS3 was $600, by January 2008 it was $400= yoy sales increase.
By January 2014 the XB1 was $500, by January 2015 it was $350= yoy sales increase.

But why does it surprise some, or do some expect that the PS4, still selling at the same $400 launch price, should some how sell better yoy. Does that make any sense? what kinda logic precludes that? Last year the PS4s baseline was around 160k on flat months with no major software releases. Why does anyone expect things to be different now at the same price?
