Not fail in so many aspects. Like its one thing to not have wii like sales but its another thing to not even have a quarter of that. Nintendo failed with the wiiU in many aspects such as the name, the launch price, the concept, the hard drive space, the technology, the marketing, the pre-launch e3 where they ended the press conference with Nintendoland of all things and not a killer game and the post launch e3 where not only did they not have a regular press conference and the stream itself was laggy. As well as having zero third party support and a giant day 1 update and a 5 hour battery on the gamepad as well as a lack of actual triggers on the controllers and the game delays and the list goes on... The games are great but man, did they fuck up a lot

So there are tons of things Nintendo could have done better and they didn't need to have another wii to make the wiiU successful, they just needed to not fail in so many aspects but they did. The fact that so many people thought the wiiU was a tablet accessory to the wii should already tell you how bad the situation really was

most of what you said is quite inaccurate. it's okay to list mistakes, just don't exaggerate.

I am pretty sure what I have said is very accurate but since you don't believe me for some reason, lets go step by step through it. Oh and the only thing I exaggerated was on the zero third party support (and maybe the triggers) but honestly, considering how many gimped ports its got with a lack of DLC as well as many other things such as Rayman Legends being delayed and going multiplat and a lot of the games being old ports, I don't consider it much support at all.

So lets start, the launch price... At $350 for a console that is consideribly less powerful than the ps4, that price would not justify the purchase from most consumers. As a result, after the launch/holiday rush, the sales tanked to a crawl. You can simply look that up at vgc

Next is the concept. The wiiU's tablet concept is very flawed because a) Its not very portable which tablets are supposed to be due to the wireless signal range b) A low powered console is not a good idea when you expect people to pay $350 during launch... Heck, it can't even support an external hard drive through one usb port, it needs two usb ports for an external hard drive that doesn't have its own power supply. c) While I love the gamepad's 0 latency streaming, the cost of the gamepad + the console raised the price for an experience that is clearly not worth it in the eyes of the public. d) Having both a console and a tablet raised the price up instead of having one or the other e) If they wanted to go with portable tablet gaming, it would have potentically butchered the 3ds sales or vice versa so this tablet thing isn't really a good concept overall in the eyes of the majority

Hard Drive Space... This is an easy one. The Deluxe Model came with 32GB of internal space and the Basic Model came with 8GB of internal space. Considering games now a days have 50GB average of install space, a lot of third party games wouldn't even fit on the wiiU's hard drive. And before you say "oh, people can just buy their own external hard drive," that mediology is very unreliable for a developer because as soon as you expect the consumer to have something that is not included in the console, then u are just setting ur self up for a whack load of issues. Because if the consumer doesn't have an external hard drive and wants to buy your game, if he/she purchased it and can't play it, then u will be giving them refunds and they will be veryyy pissed. And not to mention that a ps3/360 during that time would come with 250GB or 500GB of internal storage space

The Tech is also flawed... Low power that requires two USB ports for external hard drives that don't have its own power supply, two usb ports for gamecube adapter, a wireless signal that has trouble going through more than one room, no ethernet port so you have to use wifi, very old version of the PowerPC architecture and many other things.

Post launch e3 was an easy one too... They didn't have a regular press conference cause it was an e3 Direct... They didn't go up on stage at e3 and do their thing so idk why you would think thats incorrect

The update in Day 1 during launch was giant... It was not only 1GB, since it was launch day, it took forever to download for many people. And the wiiU update took me 40 minutes to download when I got the update. Not even the ps4's day 1 update was that big, it was 308 MBs... And here is some more proof:

http://kotaku.com/5965551/the-wii-us-infamous-day-one-update-will-be-around-for-a-while

http://www.polygon.com/2013/11/13/5098848/playstation-4s-day-one-patch-is-available-to-download-now

I don't get why you bolded wiiU's gamepad's battery life cause it is 5 hours... Don't believe me? Then believe Nintendo

https://www.nintendo.com/consumer/latam/en/systems/wiiu/system_wiiu_gamepad.jsp?menu=power_and_battery&submenu=wup-gamepad-ht-charge

And the triggers are bad cause unlike the ps3 or 360 or ps4 or x1, there is no sensitivity on the triggers... So either its on or off and there is no % in between

So yea, I am pretty sure I am right for most of those things and I exaggerated on one thing, maybe two if u count the triggers but it wasn't even that highly exaggerated...
