Well... Melee has been out for a very long time so of course it will have more new players than SSB4 and Melee has also been played very competitely compared to brawl and brawl had a lot of nonsense about it like that tripping mechnic so of course there would be more Melee players in the past 2 years than in Brawl or SSB4... And not to mention Melee has been in all the big tournaments for a while now and SSB4 just came out a couple of months ago. Lets see what happens in the future however

My point was saying Melee players can't adapt to the new scene is misinformed since most Melee players started playing after Brawl was released.

Well considering how terribly they are acting now... Imo, it seems otherwise. Brawl was some what justified considering how much nonsense it has but SSB4? Really? Death Threats as well as how that tournament went and how disrespectful melee players can be just because Diddy won leads me to believe otherwise. If they can prove me wrong, then go for it but considering how content they are to sticking to a game that they know instead of adapting to SSB4 it makes me doubt it. And of course, this doesn't include all Melee players, just the ones that are being so idiotic about it
