True story! I think they just can't adapt to new play styles and a lack of exploits and other nonsense.. Shame really but oh well

This is actually pretty false considering about 60% of the competitive Melee community has started playing Melee in the past 2 years.  I can give you statistics on this if you want, but 2014 was actually Melee's biggest year by a wide margin and it shows the majority of the community is really new to Melee and they simply chose to play Melee over Brawl/SSB4.  I would venture to guess that about 80% of competitive Melee players started playing Melee competitively after the release of Brawl.

Well... Melee has been out for a very long time so of course it will have more new players than SSB4 and Melee has also been played very competitely compared to brawl and brawl had a lot of nonsense about it like that tripping mechnic so of course there would be more Melee players in the past 2 years than in Brawl or SSB4... And not to mention Melee has been in all the big tournaments for a while now and SSB4 just came out a couple of months ago. Lets see what happens in the future however

My point was saying Melee players can't adapt to the new scene is misinformed since most Melee players started playing after Brawl was released.
