this is absolutely no problem for Sony
on the contrary, Sony's position would be quite worse without the PS2 still selling so good,
there is a good chance that many people who have bought the PS2 the last couple of years will when they chose their next console, see a PS3 with a much better library than it now has
Sony needs to make sure that in a couple of years from now many PS2 owners switch to the PS3
so it should absolutely not die
people buying a PS2 is better than people buying a Wii or 360 for Sony,
a lot better, not only for the money, but with PS2 the PS3 sets already one step in the house of the buyers
