Um it does if you open the console yourself. You break the seal. Also Non Sony endorsed. I think Doh is in order.

 

Not Sony endorsed? Then why the hell did they include the instructions on how to do it in the PS3's box?

I would like to add that there is an HDD area on the left side of the console. This little peice of plastic can be removed to reveal the hard drive bay area. You are in no way cracking open the actual shell of the case.
