I hear this every presidential election from both sides, "If X wins I am out of here!"
The difference is those to the left have many choices of similar countries that align better with their ideology. Canada is right there and Europe has several options. I have Denmark lined up with a dear friend if things ever went really bad here for example.
Those on the right may struggle with it, but the US is the dream land for conservatives in this era (particularly the "red" areas). So, where would a conservative go that they wouldn't feel more isolated and marginalized?
