I just wish Nintendo would buy the rights to the Sonic IP rather than buying Sega out, then we could all enjoy more amazing 2D Sonic games like the ones on Genesis, I would have a lot of faith in sidescroller Sonic game by Nintendo

It would be interesting to see Nintendo give making a Sonic game a shot. If they can't make a good Sonic game, then I don't know how else Sonic could be saved.
