What do you mean?  Other than obvious groupings like CoD and Battlefield, which is to be expected because they're in the same exact genre.  Glancing at the Amazon hourly best sellers, just as an example, the top third-party games are The Wolf Among Us, GTA5, Shadow of Morder, Monster Hunter 4, Dying Light, CoD: Advanced Warfare, Minecraft, Evolve, Diablo, and Dragon Age Inquistition.  

None of those games would you mistake for another.  If you mean theme, like Fantasy or Science Fiction, then there isn't much getting around that.
