Because it's different. I say this as someone who only has little interest to purchase the game. People beg for change and evolution but condemn it when.it arrives.
Also, these are peoples incomes and careers we're talking about here. In multiple threads where a dev or other company cuts jobs do you post with sincerity when you wish them good luck and to land on their feet?
