I felt like it was self-explanatory, but I've highlighted the important parts for you. It doesn't matter how long it takes to make a game. What matters is how well made it is. Sometimes things take longer, but that doesn't necessarily mean you should just give up.

That's not how the real world works, you have to take your budget and the size of your team into consideration when you design your game.  People don't have an endless supply of resources.  Also no where did I say he should give up.

I don't disagree that you have to take your budget and the size of your team into consideration when you design your game. I am aware that people don't have endless resources. All I said is that just because it has taken 6 years or so doesn't mean that it is "to the point where your vision may be too ambitious for your own good." My example was Final Fantasy XV (formerly Final Fantasy Versus XIII) which has been in production much longer than this game. That's all I was saying.

They are not the same situation, FFXV was in development hell.  When they started they got a skeleton team and then they lost even more people to help the relaunch of FF14, the game wasn't in full development til years after it was revealed.  I haven't heard of anything like that happening with this game.
