I've only had an interest in preordering games that I am super, super hyped for, and TBH there hasn't been many instances of that. MK8 is one of those rare occurrences, and yet I still didn't preorder it. I was driving to GameStop to order one on the night before launch (to get the bonus), but I hit traffic and was too late. 
Ended up buying the game about a week later.
