Destiny probably helped Activision. It's currently brought in over $850 million or so last I checked.
Personally, I think Nintendo should forget their hardware and focus solely on the software. Their hardware really isn't great in comparison to the lead consoles. The Wii was different, but I think it has lost its appeal.
