I don't see the logic in this assumption.

Insomniac were arguably one of their most important partners last gen, and they have made one of this gen's most important releases on a rival.

Yes, Ready at Dawn are capable of overachieving based on the budget/hardware they're given, but why would Sony choose to buy them for that when they're more looking to offload on inhouse expenditure?
