I am also a liar.  Shoulda been something to do with Ratchet and Clank in retrospect.  I usually don't care about difficulty like many platform fans.  I go for character above all else which is why games like Puppeteer, Ratchet, Jak, LBP, Crash, Spyro, and many others are my favorites.  Sadly I'm more of a 3d platformmaster and now all I ever get are 2d ones :(
