you may have seen one without realizing it if you've been to an American mall. most Radioshacks these days are very tiny little stores (I suppose to save on costs). They aren't like huge Best Buys or anything
this isn't surprising, Radioshack has been talked about going under for many many years now. the issue is they don't REALLY specialize in anything anymore. selling cell phones and random computer parts that people can buy for cheaper prices elsewhere makes zero sense. back in the day obviously Radioshack is famous for providing interesting self-buildable computer kids and a lot of interesting electronics kits for family's to work on or get for their kids. they haven't been innovative in a long time
they won't be missed in my eyes. you walk into a Radioshack for the last 10 years and you see the SAME exact items as you see everywhere else (nothing to peak interest) with high prices. that's a recipe for failure
