No they haven't. SteamOS is going to flop soooo hard, and the same goes for steam machines. People that wants PC will still buy PC and people that wants console will still buy console, steam machine is only going to be good for some unexperienced users that don't know how to build their own PC and aren't interested in consoles...
My point saying this is that they did the best thing they could making a gaming console not another OS that would flop and in the first place makes no sense because they already make an OS for most PCs/Boxes and it's called windows.
