There is nothing to see here even if true. Evil Within has a Trophy for doing a speed run in under 5 hours. The game took me 16 hours first play through. He is either lying, or just rushed to the end (which means he didn't even REALLY play the game for what it was anyway). So yeah I'm gonna call BS on this entire subject. Games like this typically run at least 10 hours when played correctly without even taking in every little thing. I expect no less from The Order. |
The problem does not seem to lie with the user (he never said anywhere that it took him 5 hours) but rather with the unsurprisingly clickbaity sources "reporting" an incorrect read of trophy timestamps. Gaming journalism at its best, not even bothering to check information.

Yea, I just read his clarification post. He isn't speaking about details such as overall score or length of the game itself and pointed out that it was a while before he even got his first trophy. I doubt we have anything to worry about here. It is a shame that gaming media has gotten so bad that YouTubers give more realistic reviews when you find the right channels. I guess that is the difference between someone who plays games as a hobby, and someone who plays games to write about them.
