I'm officially bitter.

On the one hand I disagree. On the other hand the bar is very high for making such games that will succeed both critically and in sales. And it seems most of the market for these games resides on Nintendo consoles, and while it's a fairly small market it is a market that buys those games enthusiastically...when Nintendo makes / publishes them.

Naughty Dog's next task is to rather than make a new game with a self contained story, and then think about sequels after the game succeeds, make a game with a fully realised (but untold) back story and at least skeletoned multi-game story or series of stories that tie together in a solid narrative.
