Wait you missed what I pointed out:

Per Cmos Sensor as just a sample unit is $18.00/CMOS sensor!

Both Samsung, and Apple both use these sensor's for the smart devices they produce, not just phone's, but tablets or pretty much any smart device with a camera pretty much use a Sony CMOS sensor in pretty much all the major brands of smart phone's.

Yeah but how profitable is it? Sony has no trouble selling products but they do find it hard to be profitable.
