This is but a small part of Sony and they are looking to cut branches that don't make them much profit. I panicked at 1st thinking this was SEN or PSN, but then realized this is small potatoes and will likely help return Sony to profits more quickly.
They should continue to get out of the more risky ventures and play to their strengths, like PS4. and main 1st, 2nd and 3rd parties.
