I don't think there's any reason to be against it. There's little point in keeping 7th gen titles tied to platforms that are quickly dying off. Better to use them as the foundation of a service where they will have a degree of value indefinitely (thanks to not being restricted by the need for dated native hardware). Putting the service on PC is a logical decision if they want the service to be successful.
If they start putting recent PS4 titles on it i can see some people getting a bit irritated (similar to the current X1/PC situation, though the two aren't directly comparable), but in its current form it's only a good thing as far as i'm concerned.
