On topic: SEGA... Many great memories with their games. Monkey Ball on Gamecube was amazing, Sonic Riders was pretty darn fun and evolved into All Stars Racing, which has Mario Kart grabbed by the balls and won't let go (Sumo has done a fine ass job), Virtua Fighter, F-Zero GX! Phantasy Star, etc.
It's a shame to see them follow that path, because they might make more profit... But probably a higher number of bad games as well. I take it there won't be Mario and Sonic at Rio this year?
