That shows that hack and slash is a genre. Dungeon crawlers aren't a genre. Dungeon crawling is a scenario.

If it's wrong, that's fine. What constitutes a hack-and-slash game? Devil May Cry is one. Bayonetta is one. How does Bloodborne differ from these two? That's what I'm trying to figure out, and what nobody seems to be able to tell me. The gameplay for Bloodborne looks nearly identical to these two games.
