Hardly surprising, because Sega is in the same boat as THQ. The trend of the AAA market is that the big games get bigger, so anyone who isn't already a stabilized part of it has no future. That leaves a company with two choices: Continue until you go broke (that's what THQ did) or bow out voluntarily.

But who is to blame for Sega's situation? It's obviously the PlayStation/Xbox gamer who turned a blind eye to Alien: Isolation and other Sega games. Some of the blame also goes to Sony and Microsoft who failed to establish an environment where Sega games could thrive.
