you can't deny the absolute truth that Imaginedvl said though.   augen gave a great example of it in practise too.  the gap in tastes between nintendo fans is pretty big compared to MSony fans.   nintendo fans can enjoy things like toad's treasure tracker or splatoon or mario party or yoshi's world of yarn and completely dismiss things like TLoU and the order and bloodborne ect. and so forth.  i'll be the same but opposite.

fair or not it is the reality that each person declares the winner with a massive bias for personal tastes in gaming.

I know, but folks can always do that. It's easier to look at it objectively, taking the measure of media buzz created or the strategic worth of different decisions.

well how about this.  even if nintendo has something cool to show that i should legitimately be excited about (i.e. zelda) nintendo is very likely to destroy all hype for me by framing the announcement in with stupid statements like, "look how the horse isn't running into trees.  so exciting!!" or "and we added features like a metallic sound that tells the players they made a direct hit" or "look how time slows down as we dismount the horse".   next time maybe they tell me all about how the camera can be moved around to let me look around the environment...

nintendo couldn't sell water in a desert these days..
