So, you are saying Nintendo profited about 550 million dollars? thats more than their expectations

As the report said itself, the net profit was of 59.5 million yen, so somewhere around 500 million dollars, indeed above their expectations, but as you most surely have seen by now, it seems Wii U is still being sold at a loss, so with production starting up again for Q4, that is going to eat a lot of the profits, which is why they halved their operating income forecast to 20 billion yen, but because of favorable exchange rates they upped their net profit expectations. Though the Wii U thing is not confirmed, it is only the thought of a analyst, that halfment of the operating income forecast may come from them expecting to use a lot of money on ad campaigns, maybe expanding to have a better release schedule for future consoles, and/or R&D is eating all that money up.
