im pretty sure 3 decades ago we didnt have 3d worlds(which obviously changed gameplay), so that makes your comment a little weird XD

its still a character being moved by actions of my thumb and pressing buttons.  2d 3d fps whatever no matter what it looks like on tv its still at the end of the day that same thing as decades past to me.
