Which has already been pointed out to you - unlike the PS3, it didn't release during a holiday period. That can't be ignored. Despite all of that, it hasn't fallen too far behind it. Can't make any realistic judgment calls without seeing what it will do with the proper software, anyway. So, the talk of, "reaching 10 million" is pointless.

It reaching under 10 million isn't pointless its realistic. 3DS despite being the top selling platform with the highest selling games in the region is falling below its predecessor. It's not unreasonable to assume that PS4 will be in the same boat after all its AAA games get released.

I'm not saying that I think that they're going to sell 10 million PS4s in Japan. I'm just saying you that the current PS4 sales do not show one way or another what the PS4's end-of-life sales will be at. Especially considering that there aren't a lot of games for it. I personally only have 2 games for the PS4, and I've owned it since January of 2014. I wish I wouldn't have bought the PS4 when I did since it's really been a paperweight. That has nothing to do with the console, and everything to do with the software (what CGI-Quality has been talking about).
